Saw and loved these beauties.
Staying at www.underthethatch.co.uk/suchagora
It was such a beautiful day here in Ceredigion today that we took the opportunity to take the shots of Glan yr Avon, a potential new property for UTT The owners have done an amazing job of restoring this riverside thatched cottage into a warm, stylish, comfortable home (and holiday let!) – Can’t wait to get visitors feed back – it is just gorgeous!
We spent yesterday photographing a lovely New UTT (in the making)
It is a one night house (Ty unnos in Welsh) similar to that of Ty Unnos which is also on our books www.underthethatch.co.uk/tyunnos In the 18th century a Welsh tradition existed for the homeless of Wales, or anyone who wanted a plot of ground but couldn’t afford to buy it, they could claim a patch of common land by erecting a house on it as long as it was erected between sunset and sunrise.
The owner has spent many years collecting local artwork and sourcing contemporary furniture to fit in with the traditional feel of the cottage – I think it works don’t you? It won’t be long until you can book this stylish, cosy retreat for two, which overlooks the Preseli Mountains – So keep an eye out as we’ll be launching it soon…
Our Krakow flats do so very well… that we thought we’d take a trip to another historic city break destination in Poland…Gdansk on the Baltic sea. Perhaps a good spot for a UTT flat? See our existing Polish UTTs here:

We’re using shipping containers as the core structure of a contemporary villa on a hillside overlooking the bay above www.underthethatch.co.uk/gatehouse
Hollywood House is being built using old shipping containers…but when complete they won’t be visible from the outside…so we’ve commissioned Donegal artist Ian Gordon to paint her progress. She stands on the hill above www.underthethatch.co.uk/gatehouse
